Susie Wiles Lands in Even More Hot Water Over Vanity Fair Interview

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles may have said more about the Epstein files than she should have.

Vanity Fair profile about the famous presidentice maidenNow Democratic Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Dick Durbin have demanded answers regarding a particularly sinister detail that emerged from the article: Wiles' apparent knowledge of the contents of Epstein's files.

IN joint letter Released Tuesday, Whitehouse and Durbin questioned what parts of the investigation she reviewed, how she obtained confidential materials and “under what authority” she accessed them.

Lawmakers asked Wiles a series of questions, asking her to respond by Jan. 5.

“Was the material in the file you reviewed presented to a grand jury? When did you first gain access to the Epstein case and what was the timeline for its review? For what purpose did you gain access to this information?” they asked.

The duo also asked if she had shared any information with Donald Trump and asked her to explain what role she played in “any proceeding related to the review, editing, suppression or publication of material in the Epstein case, including any proceeding involving the Department of Justice or the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

The wide-ranging revelations about Wiles' first year as Trump's chief of staff sent shockwaves through the political establishment earlier this month and gave many Americans their first glimpse into the inner machinations of the Trump White House. Through “multiple on-the-record conversations,” some taking place after church on Sundays, documentary filmmaker and writer Chris Whipple depicted a Cabinet structure that could not exist without Wiles and her unparalleled ability to translate the president's agenda.

But her mouthy remarks about her cabinet colleagues have caused quite a few problems in the workplace. Some of these comments include claiming that Trump has “the personality of an alcoholic” and pointing out that Vice President J.D. Vance's move to MAGAworld was opportunistic and “kind of political.”
