After the CBS competition series Teasing celebrity cameos from similar Billie Eilish, Jimmy Fallon And MisterBeast during the upcoming 50th season, longtime host Jeff Probst told how the idea to bring Hollywood pomp to Fiji came about.
“We knew some Survivorthe biggest fans are celebrities,” he said. Diversity in an interview published on January 5, “so we thought adding their own unique twists to some of them would be a fun way to make the game even more unpredictable!”
Jeff also expressed concerns that the move could distract from the main goal of the long-running series: seeing how far people will go to win $1 million.
“I think it's a legitimate concern when you start adding layers like celebrities that they can overshadow the game and throw it off course,” the 64-year-old continued. “Our job was to make sure we stayed true to what we were doing. Survivorwhich explores this ongoing social experiment. And now we’re adding another layer.”
