Suda51’s Ultraviolent Multiversal Bounty Hunting Game Now Has A Release Date, And It’s Soon

Romeo is a dead man The official release date is February 11, 2026, according to the game's executive director and producer Goichi “Suda51” Suda. Priced at $50, it will launch early next year on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a Switch 2 port being considered as well.

Suda added that the release date could be delayed by two weeks if the game's master copy is rejected up to three times, causing Romeo Is A Dead Man to release around the same time as “that big nine game” on its box. Suda probably means Resident Evil: Requiemwhich will be released on February 27 next year. Suda said it aims to avoid cut-throat competition.

Developer Grasshopper Manufacture will also self-publish a game for the first time for the studio. Regarding the proposed Switch 2 port, Suda51 stated that it could happen after the game's launch.

“We need to make sure it works on PC and other platforms that have already been decided,” Suda said VGK. “And since we're using Unreal Engine 5 for Romeo is a Dead Man, we need to make sure that we can find a way to make the engine work well with Switch 2, using things like Nanite, Lumen and other things – some of them are new to us, some of them may have problems with Switch 2, with porting and all that.”
