40 acres Co-written and directed by Calgary's RT Thorne (various Degrassi series) and stars Daniel Deadwyler (To), Let's ride O'Connor from Toronto (Murdoch Mysteries), Barry, Jaeda LeBlanc of Ontario (Gen V) and Michael Greyes of Muskeg Lake First Nation (1923). It's also worth noting that the film was filmed in Sudbury, Ontario.

Queen of the Ring

This film chronicles the life and career of revolutionary American wrestler Mildred Burke.

Netflix House
While this isn't a new streaming game, it's still worth mentioning. Netflix opened its first Netflix House entertainment center in Philadelphia this week. Adjacent to King of Prussia, one of the largest shopping malls in the US, this sprawling venue offers all sorts of experiences based on Netflix properties, from One piece quest room and Wednesday festival games, themed dishes and Squid game VR game. I was able to attend the grand opening and was very impressed with the attention to detail throughout the space. Check my full report on Netflix House for more.

Dream train [Netflix Original]

A lumberjack lives a simple life during a period of great change in early 20th century America.
Based on the novel of the same name by Denis Johnson. Dream train Directed by Clint Bentley (sing sing) and stars Joel Edgerton (loving), Felicity Jones (By gender), Clifton Collins Jr. (Westworld), Kerry Condon (Banshee of Inisherin) and William H. Macy (Shameless).

Whatever it takes I have to see Dream train in TIFF and this was one of my favorite films of the entire festival. It's a heartbreakingly beautiful meditation on life and the passage of time, anchored by Edgerton's powerful performance. I highly recommend it!

It's up to a ragtag group of outcasts to save the continent from the dangers of a secret relic.
Based on the second Critical Role campaign, set 20 years later. The Legend of Vox Machina, Mighty Nein features the voices of Critical Role members Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, Liam O'Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham.
