ESPN host Stephen A. Smith suggested LeBron James' The treatment of certain people may be influenced by their race.
Smith in an interview with the magazine “Turning Podcast” with Ryan Clark, spoke about his recent interactions with James and appeared to reference an incident where James confronted Smith at a Lakers game in March.
“Have you ever seen LeBron attack a white boy? Let's call it that. Have you ever seen him do this? You will say you saw him attack me,” Smith said.

Smith appeared to be addressing the incident and Smith's past criticism of James' Lakers treatment of the superstar's son, Bronny James.
“Anyone who has professional ethics, who understands the sport and what is involved in it, knows that I did nothing wrong to this young man. But to portray me as someone who would attack a child just because I don’t like you, that’s low, that’s low,” Smith said.

After Los Angeles Lakers In March against the New York Knicks, Smith said the incident stemmed from his television criticism of Bronny.
“It wasn’t a basketball player confronting me. It was the parent. It was the father,” Smith said. on ESPN. “I can’t sit here and be angry or feel wronged by LeBron James for that matter. By all accounts, he's obviously a wonderful family man and father who cares very, very deeply for his son.”

Later that month, James denied this notion in an interview with ESPN's The Pat McAfee Show.

“I would never allow people to talk about sports, criticize players for what they do on the court. It's your job to criticize or be in a position where, okay, the guy doesn't perform… it's all part of the game. When you take it and get it personal, my job is not only to protect my damn family, but to protect the players,” James said.
