On October 25, 2025, musician St. Vincent spoke with New Yorker staff writer Vinson Cunningham at the 26th annual New Yorkers Festival, a weekend filled with conversations, screenings, performances and more. The festival, which became the hallmark of the magazine, was held in New York and brought together leading representatives of literature, cinema, comedy, television, politics and medicine.

Vinson Cunningham joined New Yorker as a staff writer in 2016. Since 2018, he has been the magazine's critic, writing about theater, television and more. He was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for criticism in 2024 and 2025, and was awarded the George Jean Nathan Prize for Dramatic Criticism for 2021–2022.
