So, did you enjoy Noah Dobson's performance yesterday? Some will say yes, others will say no. His (very weak) defense in a big moment led some to say he didn't give enough to the team. His (very) soft defensive retreat at an important point in the game. leading some to say he didn't give enough to the team, but according to Martin St. Louis, there were far more positives than negatives in the defender's performance. And I say this because the CH pilot told Anthony Martino that Dobson was playing his best game since he's been here:
“Noah Dobson played his best game since he's been here.”

While watching yesterday's game, one thing came to mind: Dobson didn't look like a very intense guy on the ice. He's often been criticized for being careless on the ice since the start of his NHL career, and it's true that at times he doesn't seem like he's giving it his all. But that's Noah Dobson: he's never going to be the guy who's the most involved and the one who seems to give more than everyone else. And even if his performance doesn't go down in history, you can't say he was bad just by looking at one episode where he didn't look that good.
Noah Dobson had a solid debut game for the Montreal Canadiens. Calm, mobile, great for breakthroughs and smart positioning. He certainly reassured his new fans with such a strong performance.

“I'm nostalgic (for being in Montreal). I just can't wait to play in this stadium again, play in front of this crowd tomorrow. Just to be here in this room, it's great!”
