Squirrel With a Gun Shoots Its Way to Switch 2 This Fall

Publisher Maximum entertainment and developer Dee Dee Creations have announced that the chaotic sandbox shooter Squirrel with a gun will be released on Switch 2 on November 18, 2025. The game brings Nintendo's signature combination of absurdist humor and explosive action to Nintendo's next-generation handheld, along with all previously released downloadable content and an all-new update.

Players can expect a full range of mayhem, including the Ratatoskr update, which pits the squirrel against a powerful Nordic foe at the Golden Acorn, and the Gravity Gun update, which allows players to manipulate physics to reach new areas. The Photo Mode update allows fans to capture their wildest moments in cinematic style, while the Pride Month update introduces Pride Street, a colorful new area filled with festive challenges and rainbow-colored surprises.

In addition to debuting on Switch 2, the game will also feature a new Varmint Collection, offering additional customization options and a fresh dose of critter mayhem. More details about this collection are expected soon.
