Sports piracy site Streameast returns after US government let domain expire

The popular Piracy Streamast website returns to illegally broadcasting sporting events, just 13 months after the investigation of national security (HSI) captured this domain.

In August 2024, HSI captured several domains belonging to the StreamEast piracy network, including some backup domains. After the capture, an attempt to access these sites led to a surge from HSI, which said: “This domain was captured.”

At that time, Streameast was one of the most famous sites in the United States to view sports events, including from NBA, NFL and MLB, illegally and even declared LeBron James as a userField

HSI never issued a statement of shutdown StreamEast. Nevertheless, the banner that appeared in the captured areas said that HSI captured plots through the warrant from the District Court of the United States in the eastern district of Louisiana. Nevertheless, the owners of Stream of Stream did not take much time to return the illegal service through alternative domain names, as reported TorrentfreakField

Now one of the domain names that HSI captured has returned to the hands of its original pirate owners. This happened without any litigation. Instead, the previous owners of the site were able to re -register the primary domain name Streameast after it has expired “earlier this year”. Torrentfreak reported this week. Some domains of Streameast are still showing a banner from HSI seizures, but the original STREMEAST domain is again broadcasting pirate sports events.

A curious turn of events

This is an amazing development, given the HSI efforts to shoot the site. Streameast was still working under alternative domain names, but the return of the original site will allow even more illegal sports streaming.
