The controllers start at a higher price than the standard models, but note that you're still getting them for $10 less than what a regular DualSense would normally cost.
The DualSense will look familiar to longtime PlayStation fans, but it has significant technical features that set it apart from Sony's earlier DualShock gamepads. A good example is the haptic vibrations of a wireless controller, which can make the gaming experience more immersive. The feeling of a slight rumble on either side of the controller as the character walks across sand is an example of what's possible. The triggers also have variable tension, which in some games requires you to press harder during certain sequences. This is an amazing feature and we wish more developers would use it.
In terms of table betting features, the DualSense has nice textured grips and a built-in microphone that allows you to chat with other players online without a headset. You also have the option to connect a wired headset (or headphones) to the controller's 3.5mm audio jack. It charges via USB-C – no surprise there – and can last up to eight hours or so, which should be enough to get through most gaming sessions. It's not compatible with other consoles, but you can use it with a Mac or PC via Bluetooth or by connecting it with a USB-C cable.
