Sonic the Hedgehog has had a lot of video games and live-action films lately, but some of Blue Blur's best adventures can be found in IDW Publishing's long-running comic book series. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and many other characters from Sega's iconic franchise have starred in over 100 installments since 2018, and right now you can pick up dozens of them at low prices. Each Sonic the Hedgehog: The IDW Collection hardcover book retails for $60, but if you buy two, you'll be paying roughly $25 per book. This is a pretty good deal as each collection includes around 300 pages of full color comics.

The first four B1G1 hardcover collections are 50% off.

If you take advantage of Amazon's 50% B1G1 discount, volumes 1 and 2 will cost you just $51.35 (was $120), while volumes 3 and 4 are discounted to $48.55 (was $120). The first four hardcover books will usually cost you $240, but using existing discounts and promotions, you can get them for a total of $99.90.

What's really nice about these hardcover editions is that they usually combine the three standard paperback issues (about 12 issues total) in a larger format. They're also family friendly as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and new allies join forces to stop Dr. Eggman's plans. The series also has amazing graphics thanks to a superstar team of illustrators.

Keep in mind that this should be considered an alternative to the first volume of The IDW Collection, which also includes the first 12 comics.

Only the first three paperback volumes were collected into a box set, but IDW published 19 volumes since 2018. Volume 20 runs into bookstores on December 2.

The numbered volumes are printed in chronological order, but IDW also offers an assortment of stand-alone miniseries, greatest hits, and character-specific collections. All books listed below are also paperback editions.
