Start your engine in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
Sega has released the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, giving players a new way to experience the action-packed racing game. The remastered version is now available digitally for $69.99 US or regional equivalent, with a physical release planned for early 2026. This release aims to better utilize the improved power of the Switch 2 hardware, offering increased performance and sharper presentation that brings every track and character to life with greater clarity.
Players who already own the original Nintendo Switch can opt for the Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack. Regular price: $10; however, Sega is offering a limited introductory discount that reduces the cost to $5 for anyone who purchases it before December 11, 2025. This option allows returning players to enjoy the enhanced edition without having to purchase the full game again.
Sega also provides a small bonus for early adopters. The Werehog DLC pack, which adds a themed character inspired by Sonic's transformation, is available for free for the first two weeks of digital release. Players will be able to download it for free until December 17, 2025, adding some variety to their racing lineup.
All progress and previously purchased content from the original Switch version can be transferred to the new edition. This allows experienced players to pick up where they left off while still benefiting from the visual and performance enhancements offered by the Switch 2 hardware. With smoother gameplay and improved resolution, the new edition offers an enhanced experience for anyone looking to get back on the track or experience the world of CrossWorlds for the first time.
