Snoop Dogg knows what you want for Christmas.

The rapper and pop culture icon will perform during halftime of the Detroit Lions-Minnesota Vikings game in Minneapolis on Dec. 25 as part of Netflix's NFL Christmas Gameday broadcast.
Dubbed “Snoop's Holiday Halftime Party,” the show will feature hits, special guests and holiday cheer, Netflix said in a press release.
“The NFL, Netflix and your Uncle Snoop for Christmas? We're bringing music, love and good cheer to the world,” Snoop Dogg said in a press release. “It's that holiday magic that Santa can't fit in his bag.”
Netflix went dark on Tuesday video announcement for the halftime show. Which may or may not be a clue to the identity of one of the special guests, a funk legend. George Clinton narrates the clip. At one point, the Parliament-Funkadelic leader says, “woof-wow-wow, yippie yo yippie yay,” a line from his 1982 solo hit “Atomic Dog” that Snoop used in several songs.
The once polarizing gangsta rapper, born Calvin Broadus, has become a beloved and ubiquitous mainstream figure. Just in the last few days, he's been seen on primetime television as a judge on “The Voice” and rapping in the opening segment of “Monday Night Football.”
Last week, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced that Snoop had been named the first-ever honorary coach for Team USA at the Cortina Games in Milan in February. Snoop will also serve as a special correspondent during NBC's Winter Olympics coverage, a role he also filled. during the Paris Games 2024.
In April, Snoop was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2025.
Snoop has had several holiday-themed projects, including the 1996 song “Santa Claus Goes Straight to the Ghetto,” the 2008 compilation album “Christmas in the Dogghouse” and the 2020 single “Doggy Dogg Christmas.” He also performed a “Winter Wonderland”/”Here Comes Santa Claus” mashup with Anna Kendrick in 2015.Pitch Perfect 2”
Netflix will stream two NFL games on Christmas Day. The Dallas Cowboys will play the Washington Commanders at 10 a.m. PT. Kelly Clarkson speech before the game. The Lions-Vikings game will begin at 1:30 pm PST.
