‘SNL’ Weekend Update Jokes About Louvre Heist, Prince Andrew Losing Title

Bowen Young appeared as former U.S. Congressman George Santos during Saturday Night Live's “Weekend Update,” where he spoke with co-host Colin Jost about what he's been up to since his release from prison.

During the segment, Yost mentioned the upcoming New York City Marathon before reluctantly introducing Santos as the “number one marathon runner in the world.”

“Can you believe I just finished a marathon?” Santos Yanga said, to which Yost replied, “The marathon is tomorrow.”

“Yes, well, this is a record. I already won!” Santos Yanga said.

In October, President Donald Trump commuted the prison sentence of Santos, who had been sentenced to more than seven years in prison for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. After his release, the disgraced ex-politician went on a media comeback tour.

“I go on all these shows to tell the truth about what it’s like in prison,” Yang said as Santos.

“Well, wasn’t your prison, like, minimum security?” Yost asked.

“That's right, I was in jail with other white collar criminals, even though I'm black,” said Santos, of Young.

“You’re not Black,” Yost told him.

“Are you accusing me of lying about my race like Rachel Dolezal, that horrible woman who lied about being black? Remember her?” Santos asked Jan. “Because it was me.”

Later during the conversation, Santos Jana said that he was now rich because he “just went to the Louvre.” He then unzipped it, revealing a large necklace.

-Did you steal this? Yost asked.

“You mean you stole it back,” Santos Yanga replied. – Because it belonged to my ancestors – the Zales.

Elsewhere on “Weekend Update,” co-host Michael Che mentioned that King Charles stripped his brother, Prince Andrew, of his royal title because of his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“Prince Andrew was stripped of his royal title 'Prince' because of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and Andrew says he can only become a prince again if he gets a kiss from a young princess,” Che joked.

The latest Weekend Review also poked fun at Trump's White House bathroom model, Texas suing Tylenol over alleged link to autism, and Japan's new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi announcing she is nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Responding to Takaichi's nomination, Che joked: “I can't believe I can say this, but thank God no one listens to women.”
