Sky Series Teaser Features Will Sharpe As Mozart

By creating excitement for Will Sharpturn like Mozart's Amadeus, Sky has released the first teaser trailer for the limited series, which will premiere in December.

White Lotus And Too much the star will play together with a musical genius Paul Bettany (WandaVision), as the envious court composer Antonio Salieri and Gabriel Creevy (in my skin) as Constance Weber, Mozart's devoted wife.

The trailer hints at a lavish production, with Sharp playing a mischievous Mozart as he dashes through the stately home and leaps to reach a chandelier. “Very unusual,” he exclaims. Bettany's Salieri seems less than impressed, intoning, “This hideous creature plays so exquisitely.”

Written Black pigeons writer Joe Barton, Amadeus is a reimagining of Peter Shaffer's award-winning play that will expand and question the mythical rivalry between the two composers. A hero to his own story but a villain to history, Salieri's envy turns vengeful as he uses any means necessary to thwart Mozart and protect his position in the establishment.

Amadeus is produced by Two Cities Television (part of STV Studios) in association with Sky Studios. Megan Spandjian is an executive producer at Sky Studios. Michael Jackson ((Patrick Melrose) and Steven Wright (Blue lights) are executive producers of television in two cities. The series' executive producer is John Griffin.

Julian Farino (English)Giri/Haji) and Alice Seabright (Chloe) will serve as directors. Barton, Sharp, Bettany and Farino also serve as executive producers. Seabright also serves as co-executive producer. NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution is handling international sales of the series on behalf of Sky Studios.
