Shilo Sanders sued by law firm for over $164K in unpaid legal bills

A law firm has filed a lawsuit against Shiloh Sandersclaiming he failed to pay more than $164,000 in outstanding bills, a source familiar with the matter confirmed the lawsuit to Fox News Digital.

The lawsuit, filed Monday, alleges Sanders owes money for services. Barnes and Thornburgh granted when he was facing a personal injury lawsuit in 2023, leading him to file for bankruptcy in October of that year.

The firm “provided legal services and incurred invoiced expenses between May 1, 2024 and August 26, 2024, pursuant to the Agreement,” the lawsuit states. USA todaywho first reported the lawsuit.

“Mr. Sanders, however, failed to pay the amounts reflected in the invoices presented to him and failed to make payment in response to Plaintiff's attempts to obtain payment for the outstanding invoices. The total amount of bills Mr. Sanders currently owes Plaintiff is $164,285.55, including $10,967.91 in interest for services provided and expenses incurred.”

The personal injury claim came when Sanders was accused in 2016 of permanently injuring a security guard at Sanders High School in Dallas after he tried to confiscate Sanders' phone. He is $11 million in debt after he failed to appear in court, resulting in a default judgment.

Sanders filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy to seek relief, but the guard is fighting the case.

Sanders' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, did not respond to requests for comment.

Meanwhile, Sanders' brother Sheader Sanders, will make his first NFL start Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

After playing with his brother at Colorado, Shiloh Sanders went undrafted in April of this year but signed with Colorado. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, he was ejected from the pre-season game and dropped from the team.
