Dismissed Michigan football coach Sherron Moore appeared in court Friday on stalking and home invasion charges, days after his shocking dismissal from the Wolverines program amid allegations he had an inappropriate relationship with a staffer.
The Washtenaw County District Attorney's Office announced the charges shortly before Moore was scheduled to go to trial.

According to the prosecutor's office, he faces criminal charge third-degree home invasion and two misdemeanors of stalking and breaking and entering without the owner's permission.

Both misdemeanor charges are classified as “domestic relations” related.
During Moore's hearing, former football coach appeared via video conference.
Prosecutors detailed the alleged events that led to Moore's arrest Wednesday, including that Moore had been in an “intimate relationship” with a Michigan State employee for “several years” and that the woman broke up with him on Monday.
Prosecutors accused Moore of contacting the employee through phone calls and text messages after the breakup, prompting the victim to contact the University of Michigan and cooperate in the investigation. Moore was subsequently fired as head football coach, which prosecutors say prompted him to show up at the woman's home.

Moore then allegedly “barged” into the home, grabbed a butter knife and kitchen scissors, and then began threatening his life. Prosecutors said Moore allegedly told the employee, “My blood is on your hands” and “you ruined my life.”
Prosecutors said Moore “terrorized” the employee and that they considered him a “risk to public safety.”
The judge in the case granted Moore a $25,000 bond with conditions that included regular mental health treatment, being equipped with a GPS tracking device, not having any contact with the victim and remaining in Michigan.
Moore's arrest came after head coach was fired after it emerged he had an “inappropriate relationship” with a female employee. Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement that “conclusive evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.”

Interim University of Michigan President Domenico Grasso also sent an email to students Thursday addressing the situation, saying Moore's actions were a “breach of trust” and encouraging students to come forward with information as the investigation continues.
“Students, earlier this week the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics fired head football coach Sherron Moore for violating university policy by engaging in an inappropriate relationship with an employee,” according to a copy of the message obtained by Fox News Digital.
His next court date was set for Jan. 22.
