Shedeur Sanders’ Week 12 Breakout Chance & Dynasty Value Rise

If you're drafted in the fifth round as a quarterback, you won't often get a chance to start as a rookie. If you get a chance, you better make the most of it. Chance is just that Sheader Sanders falls into this week and it could lead to another.

Sanders is certainly not your typical rookie quarterback. A year ago, there were rumors that he could be a top-three pick in the 2025 draft. NFL Draft. No matter why he fell, he fell and he had to wait Joe Flacco to bargain and Dillon Gabriel suffered an injury before he saw a game with Cleveland's first team. He'll get a very interesting matchup in Week 12.

On paper Raiders doesn't feel like a match that matters. They are in the middle of the pack in fantasy points allowed to QBs, even after giving up 32 points to QBs. Dak Prescott at 11 weeks. But one thing Browns The QBs have struggled under pressure and this is one area where the Raiders are clearly bad. They are ranked 28th in NFL They rank 24th in pressure rate and sacks. They have just six interceptions on the season. While their passing yards allowed are actually low, they give up 245 yards per game to QBs who throw at least 30 times.

In other words, this is an easy matchup for Sanders and the Browns. This is a chance for him to show the abilities that made people talk about him in a completely different way a year ago. If he takes advantage of this opportunity, I expect him to get another one…and I expect his fantasy value to rise.

This week there was one mailbag on Fantasy Football Today Dynasty. Jeff Blaylock from Footballguys, Dynasty Buys spoke to me, Drake London meaning and the Tampa Bay backfield. Check this out:

Sanders is currently my Dynasty QB31, six spots higher than him consensus Dynasty ratings on Fantasy Pros. The Browns have 49ers, TitansAnd Bears in the next three games, so this is actually a pretty decent platform for a newbie if he's up to the task. Sanders has room to grow over the next month, and if the Browns have even a little success through the air, they could win a couple of football games. This defense is still incredibly good and would have been even better if they weren't on the field the entire game.

Sanders isn't the only rookie who could improve his value down the road. Fellow rookie QB Tyler Shaw there is a match against the beaten one Falconswho has just been dissected Bryce Young. Chouf is showing encouraging results and another result will strengthen his believers. Other newcomers, such as Luther Burden, Woody Marks, Bhaishul Tuten, Elik Ayomanor, Jayden HigginsAnd Pat Bryant all have the opportunity to potentially increase their value heading into the offseason.

From a historical perspective, it would be a surprise if no rookies appeared in the final seven weeks of the season. This happens almost every year. So this is a great time for rebuilding teams to see if they can find a disappointing rookie at a discount and then reap the rewards of their second-half breakthrough.
