This could be the beginning of a new era. This Sunday against Las Vegas Raiders, Cleveland Browns defender Sheader Sanders makes his first NFL start off. Just before the game, CBS Sports' Tiffany Blackmon caught up with Sanders and asked him what the opportunity was like.
“I feel good,” Sanders said. “We are cool, calm, collected. Like, it doesn’t mean anything to us.”
When Blackmon asked Sanders what he hoped to show the NFL world today, he didn't mince words:
“I’m the one they were looking for,” Sanders said.
Sanders got his first NFL start last week against Baltimore Ravens When Dillon Gabriel left the competition with a concussion. However, the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders had a tough time completing 4 of 16 passes for 47 yards and one interception. Sanders is the Browns' 42nd starting quarterback, and he hopes to become the first Browns quarterback to win his first career start since 1995.
The reigning 2025 Top 12 Forward Player of the Year has dropped to No. 144. NFL Draft. In Sanders' final season at Colorado, he completed 74 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
