2026 is a big year for Persona as the series celebrates its 30th anniversary. If you haven't checked out the series yet, now is the time to do so. Outside of standard main gamesPersona had some side effects here and there, but Persona 5 in particular had a few of them.
Omega Force's Persona 5 Strikers is actually set after the events of Persona 5, and the recently released Persona 5: The Phantom X brings a ton of new characters to the table. However, the most interesting by-product is perhaps Persona 5 Tacticsa strategy-based spin-off similar to XCOM. If you haven't tried this game yet, Best Buy has a great deal where you can get a copy for just $10.

Persona 5 Tactica follows the plot of Persona 5 as the game actually takes place during the main game. One day, the group is transported to an alternate reality called the Kingdom, and it is in these worlds that Tactica takes place. Persona 5 Tactica also had DLC available in the form of Repaint Your Heart, which brought back the familiar faces of Goro Akechi and Kasumi Yoshizawa.
In each Kingdom, you control three characters and move them around the map to destroy enemies. Many of Persona 5's unique combat mechanics are implemented here in familiar ways, such as the “1 More” mechanic where you attack an enemy and knock them down.
