Join the action at Schildmaid MX
HitP Studio and Ostasiasoft Limited announced that Schildmaid MX will be released on consoles on November 26th. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store for Windows. Players will be able to enjoy the digital version on the same day, and the Playasia online store is offering pre-orders for physical editions of the Nintendo Switch, which will go on sale at the same time as the digital launch.
Schildmaid MX is a side-scrolling shooter inspired by classic jokes and featuring an innovative shield mechanic. The game combines retro pixel art aesthetics with modern gameplay twists to create a hellish experience that challenges players to transform enemy attacks into powerful projectiles to boost their ship's firepower. When the shield is depleted, it becomes a dangerous time, forcing pilots to quickly adapt their strategy.
Players can choose from three different starfighter ships to take on the invasion fleet threatening their planet. Each mission requires skillful maneuvering and precision attacks to overcome waves of enemies, with the best pilots earning their place on the online leaderboards. Schildmaid MX also supports multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese.
Digital copies will be available for $19.99/€19.99 with a limited-time 10% discount at launch on select platforms. Physical editions for Nintendo Switch will include a collector's box with a game card, a soundtrack CD, a Joy-Con sticker pack, and a numbered certificate. Only 1,000 limited editions will be produced. Standard copies are also available for pre-order. Combining nostalgia, intense action and strategic gameplay, Schildmaid MX promises a fresh and frantic shootout experience for genre fans.
