Savannah Guthrie becomes honest about partisan transgression.
Today co-host admitted he was too loud during the holiday party, admitting that Jenna Bush Hager that she “spanked” a network correspondent during the celebration.
This reveal happened on December 23rd episode Jenna and friendsduring which the couple answered questions from fans, and Savannah came across a message that hit too close to home.
“I’m having a holiday party at the office in a few days,” the 53-year-old read from the request. “My best friend at work, Jackie, is usually 'overrated' and gets inappropriately flirty at these events. She was hanging on to our boss last year and doesn't remember it at all. Should I say something in advance or roll the dice?”
After Jenna, 44, jokingly asked producers if they had asked that question themselves, Savannah joked that she had experience dealing with a similar situation.
“I just have to say, as someone who spanked a TV reporter at a holiday party,” she began, before clarifying that she didn’t make any contact and was just “spanking in the air.”
And although Savannah, who was married to Michael Feldman since 2014 – she did not name the correspondent, she said it was “a guy.”
