Even every other day LG announced its own RGB TV technology, Samsung The company, which already offers a 115-inch Micro RGB TV, is announcing that it will offer a new premium Micro RGB TV in six sizes in 2026.
Samsung's as-yet-unnamed 2026 Micro RGB TV will come in 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, 100-inch, and 115-inch sizes, each featuring separate Micro RGB modules for brighter, more accurate color output, all controlled by a custom chip.
Like Samsung's previous 115-inch Micro RGB TV, the 2026 line replaces the traditional white and blue backlighting with separate red, green and blue modules for a more immersive viewing experience that's easier to control.
Each LED module in the new Samsung TVs is very tiny, and Samsung chooses this technology to ensure the best picture quality. This requires more than just Micro RGB LEDs—the company's special sauce, if you will, is the processor and processing.
Samsung's custom Micro RGB AI Engine chip is being updated to a Pro designation – Micro RGB AI Engine Pro – and will offer more control on a frame-by-frame basis. This will likely be used in special imaging technologies to ensure colors remain vibrant and exciting without distortion to unrealistic levels, and will also improve sharpness.
As we should all expect, a wide range of artificial intelligence tools will emerge in 2025 and 2026, including 4K AI Upscaling Pro and AI Motion Enhancer Pro, both work in real time.
Perhaps more importantly for Micro RGB TVs (since it's all about color, which can rival the best OLED screens and outperform the best mini-LED sets), the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro also includes a Color Booster and HDR features that provide a vibrant visual experience.
It's safe to say that we're eager to see how good Samsung's 2026 Micro RGB TV looks in person and whether it impresses us as much as the previous 115-inch 2025 model. The new TVs will feature the same glare-free screen, which is not only a step up from the LG Micro RGB evo, but also makes it easier to place your TV. This importance doubles if you choose one of the larger sizes. This special screen coating blocks reflections from artificial and ambient light. We tested it on other Samsung TVs such as Samsung S95F OLEDone of best tvs 2025 it works very well.
Samsung Micro RGB TVs will support Dolby Atmosas well as Samsung's own Adaptive Sound Pro and Q-Symphony, the latter of which is especially useful if you use other Samsung audio devices such as smart speakers or soundbars.
In addition, Samsung announced that its entire 2026 TV lineup will support Eclipse Audio for spatial audio – although we'll have to wait until the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show to find out more.
And if you think Vision AI is fading away, buckle up: Samsung Micro RGB TV will continue to support it in a variety of ways. Using the AI button on the included remote control, you can get contextual search results for voice or type queries, translate real-time audio, create wallpapers, and even access Perplexity AI on the big screen.
The price and exact launch timing of the 2026 Samsung Micro RGB TV are not yet known, but it is clear that improvements to individual Micro RGB LEDs and improved processing indicate that the tech giant is committed to the platform and wants to bring it to more households.
However, the big question is the price. Right now, a 115-inch Micro RGB TV from Samsung costs $30,000, and with increasing sizes—including 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, and 100-inch options—the question becomes how much lower that price can drop, especially with changes made to the underlying technology.
This expansion will lead to a wider Micro RGB lineup from Samsung, with the flagship model likely to boast all the latest improvements, the latest chip and an anti-glare finish. We'll have to wait for final details. However, bringing the underlying Micro RGB technology to a lower price point would be a win, especially as the market becomes increasingly competitive.
Time will tell, but we'll get a look at Samsung's 2026 Micro RGB TVs at CES 2026 – and who knows? maybe we'll see Bally again this year. I expect Samsung RGB TVs to go on sale next year, but I'm less sure about the cute robot.
