Russian satellites haunt British military satellites, according to the head of the British space command.
In an interview with BBC, Major General Paul Tedman first established the level of intervention in Moscow against the cosmic assets of Great Britain.
He said that Russia also tried to launch the military satellites of Great Britain with ground systems every week.
Last month, the Minister of Defense of Germany, Boris Pistorius, said that Russia was shade of the satellites used by their military.

General Tedman reported how Russia did the same with Great Britain. “They are interested in what we do and fly relatively close,” he said.
“They have useful loads on board that our satellites can see and try to collect information from them.”
General Tedman said that the military satellites of Great Britain were equipped with counter-propaganda technologies, but added: “We see how our companions were stuck by the Russians on a reasonably persistent basis.”
When he was asked how often he answered “weekly.” According to him, this was intentional, and the activity has increased since the full -scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine. Britain has half a dozen special military satellites in orbit, providing communication and observation.
On the contrary, the USA, China and Russia has more than a hundred. The united Russian and Chinese fleet of satellites has increased by 70% over the past decade.
General Tedman said that Russia and China checked anti-satellite weapons. Both the UK and the United States warned that Russia is developing the ability to put nuclear weapons in space.
While the United States is considered a threat to the pace, General Tedman considers Russia a more direct danger: “I would say that the Chinese have more complex opportunities, but the Russians have more will to use their counter -space systems.”
General Tedman said that he was “really worried” about what was happening in space – not only about threats, but also about a growing trumpet. Currently, in orbit there are about 45,000 items, including about 9,000 satellites. This year, 300 more missiles are launched into space.

The general performed during a visit to Raf FylingDales in North Yorkshire. Here is the British and American ballistic missile system of early warning. This is the work that they have been doing since 1963.
Three famous large radiators or “golf shots” from the Cold War era were replaced by a 30-meter (98-foot) pyramid in which there are thousands of antennas.
It seems that the spaceship landed on the northern Yorkshire Moors, surrounded by sheep, electrified by the fence around the perimeter and razor.
The unbearable eye provides 360 -degree coverage from the Arctic to North Africa and from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic. Its radar can track objects the size of a tin jar, 3000 miles (4800 km) into space.
Inside, heavy explosive doors and air locks tell you that it may also be a goal for any enemy. In the operating room, British military personnel watch the clock every day of the year.
Two squadrons of space warning RAF will lead us through training how they discover the launch of the rocket. They are connected to other American companions and sensors that allow them to discover the launch anywhere in the world.
General Tedman calls the cosmos “team sports”, but in reality the UK depends on America. American contractors support the radar in FylingDales.
The British officer, responsible for the clock, says that along with other sources “we would know that the UK is at risk, probably for a minute.”
Which is mentioned less is the ability of Great Britain to intercept ballistic missiles. Currently, there are very few ballistic missile defenses in the UK.

The British government promises to invest more in space and missile defense. He also takes steps to protect his companions. This week he announces that he will test sensors for detecting laser threats in space.
Both China and Russia developed lasers that could be used to blind and destroy the enemy satellites.
General Tedman said: “We took the obligation to spend a billion pounds in integrated air and missile protection, and I would be surprised if there is no space aspect in how we are going to protect the UK from threats very similar to [America's] Golden Dome. “
He had in mind the plan of President Donald Trump to build a shield around the United States against any missile attacks.
Nevertheless, the UK is in danger of being left in the space race. He currently spends about 1% of his defense budget on space. On the contrary, France spends about 3%, and the United States – 5%.
General Tedman would like to see the space, given the higher priority. He says that about 450 billion pounds of sterling of the UK economy depends on space. It is also the nervous system, on which the British armed forces are increasingly dependent – from navigation to accurate strikes.
Before we leave Raf FylingDales, there is another reminder why space is so important.
We warn you that we will have to leave the operating room if a real incident occurs. While we are shooting another warning about the launch of a ballistic missile, and we quickly accompany to the exit.
They observe the releases of a ballistic missile with a short distance almost every day. In this incident, they will not say where, but it is not a secret that Russia regularly leads them to Ukraine.
In 2024, more than 4,000 missiles were released around the world. Russia was the reason why FlyingDales was first created in the Cold War. The threat did not leave.
