TORONTO – Rush is adding more Canadian dates to its calendar for the band's expected reunion.
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson say they have added 17 more cities to next year's concert tour, which begins in June and runs through the end of the year.
New stops include Montreal on September 2, 2026, as well as Edmonton on December 10 and Vancouver on December 15.
Other cities joining Fifty Something's tour schedule include Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Seattle and Tampa, Florida.
The Toronto band says all previously announced shows, including four nights in Toronto, have sold out.
Tickets to the general public for the new shows will go on sale Oct. 31, following various pre-sales beginning Thursday.
This is the first time Rush has hit the road since the landmark R40 tour in 2015 and the death of their drummer Neil Peart from an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2020. German drummer Anika Nilles will replace Peart on the tour.
On Monday, Lee and Lifeson posted a YouTube video about the new shows, with Lee saying he was “overwhelmed by the response” to the first performances.
He also warned fans about online scalpers who are snapping up tickets in hopes of cashing in on demand, and encouraged them to purchase seats through Ticketmaster or the Rush website.
“The resellers there are having a great day, they're jacking up prices, so keep that in mind,” he added.
