The Ottawa Redblacks fired head coach Bob Dies following the 2025 season.

Dice signed a two-year contract last offseason which was supposed to keep him with the team until 2026, but he was fired after a disastrous campaign in which the Redblacks finished last in the CFL. Already eliminated from playoff contention, Ottawa's 35-15 loss to Hamilton in the regular-season finale on Friday night officially dropped the team's record to 4-14.

The 59-year-old's firing comes a year after he helped the Redblacks to the best home record in franchise history last season, going 7-1-1 at TD Place. It was part of a 9-8-1 season that saw Ottawa return to the postseason for the first time in six years.

Winnipeg, man. The native arrived in the nation's capital in 2016 as a special teams coordinator and won the Gray Cup that season. He was named head coach on an interim basis following the firing of Paul LaPolice in 2022, before taking over full-time in 2023. Overall, his record behind the bench in Ottawa was 18-39-1.

Dyce broke into the CFL coaching ranks in 2003 as the receivers coach for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He spent seven years with the team, six years with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as passing game coordinator, receivers coach, offensive coordinator and special teams coordinator, and a stint in 2015 as the team's interim head coach. He won his first Gray Cup with the Riders in 2013.

Redblacks president Adrian Sciarra confirmed Friday night that general manager Sean Burke will remain in his position next season. despite speculation regarding his job security. His first order of business this offseason will be choosing Dice's successor – his second head coaching job and Ottawa's fourth since they returned to the CFL in 2014.
