Rocks thrown at South Okanagan Conservative MLA’s home

Pentictonton-Summerland BC Conservative MLA Amelia Bowltby says that last week she was struck by wakefulness by the fact that she describes as a mess outside her house.

“It's scary when you are alone at home, and you feel that your personal space has been invaded,” Bultby said.

The incident occurred around 10:30 pm in her residence on Thursday.

“I saw the headlights – about four cars looked, but I really could only see the light. Then, after a few minutes, I heard six or seven loud strokes, ”Bultby recalls.

After waiting, while the bustle stops, she went outside. There was no one there, but there were signs of damage.

“There were large stones around. It seems that someone threw them into the house, ”she said, adding that she called RCMP.

Bultby says she is not sure if this act was politically motivated. Nevertheless, she considers noticeable that this happened on the same night as the OneBC rally in Penticton.

“At this rally, they told me that there were long discussions and even insults about me, made by people present,” she said.

The leader of Onebc Dallas Brody decisively denied what kind of participation.

“Do you really think that Onebc sends people to throw stones at the houses of people? This is ridiculous. This is the last thing that I did in my life when I did, ”said Broldy in response.

Prime Minister -Miner BC David Eby also weighed on social networks.

“Regardless of our differences, we can all agree that political violence, especially the aiming of the election official’s house, has no place in our province,” Ebi wrote in office.

Boultbee calls for everyone who has information to contact RCMP.
