TORONTO – Canadian swingman R.J. Barrett will not return to the Toronto Raptors for at least a week.
Barrett has been out of action with a sprained right knee since November 23.
The Raptors say Barrett has received platelet-rich plasma injections and his condition will improve in a week.

Barrett, from Mississauga, Ont., averaged 19.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 30.9 minutes in 17 games this season before getting injured.

Toronto has a 3-5 record since Barrett was injured after dunking in a 119-109 win over the Brooklyn Nets.
The Raptors will host the New York Knicks on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Emirates NBA Cup season tournament.
Barrett shot 0.50.6% (120-237) from the field, including 35.6% (31-87) from 3-point range, and scored 20 or more points in 10 games before the injury.
