The defending champions will bring a star-studded line-up to Milan to defend their gold medal.
Finland unveiled its 25-man squad for Milan Cortina 2026 on Friday morning, and familiarity shouldn't be a problem as it features four Dallas Stars players – Roope Hinz, Mikko Rantanen, Miro Heiskanen and Esa Lindell.
Rantanen headlines the Finns: The 29-year-old ranks fifth in the NHL in scoring with 56 points (16 goals, 40 assists) in his first full year in Texas, while Heiskanen leads the league on the blue line with 35 points (7 goals, 28 assists) in 41 games.
Notably, the Finns will be without the man who captained them at the Four Nations as Florida Panthers star Aleksander Barkov continues to recover from a torn cruciate ligament.
Also ruled out of the lineup was Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine (lower-body injury), but the Habs will still be featured after adding rookie forward Oliver Kapanen to the lineup.
Other new faces on the team include Avalanche forward Joel Kiviranta, Kraken forward Eeli Tolvanen, Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen and former Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Mikko Lehtonen, who currently plays for the ZSC Lions in Switzerland. However, Lehtonen is the only returning member of Finland's gold medal team at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
Here's a full look at the squad that will represent Finland at the Winter Olympics.
