Cooper Coup played eight seasons for the Rams, as evidenced by his performance in 2021 when he was NFL Offensive Player of the Year And Super Bowl LVI MVP.
The Rams will play on Sunday against Cupp for the first time when the Seattle Seahawks visit Sophie Stadium for a game that will decide first place in the NFC West.
Kupp, released by the Rams last March after they were unable to find a trade partner, is an additional element of the Seahawks' offense that includes Quarterback Sam Darnold and wide receiver Jackson Smith-Njigba, who is on track to break the NFL season record for receiving yards.

But Kupp, who had 26 catches for 367 yards and one touchdown, is still in the minds of Rams players and coaches.
“I’m glad he’s feeling good and ready to rock and roll,” defenseman Matthew Stafford said. “He's a lifelong friend of mine. Obviously we'll be competing against him this weekend, but it'll be nice to see him.”
Kupp played an “instrumental role” in building the Rams' culture. coach Sean McVay said.
“He modeled that path,” McVay said, adding, “He lifted up a lot of people in that building.”
Recipient Puka Nacua took advantage of Kupp's tutelage.
“It’s definitely a different feeling,” Nacua said when asked what it would be like to play against Kupp for the first time. “I know I’m really happy to see him.”
Are there any plans to change the jersey after the game?
“Honestly, I hope he doesn't take it off because if I see him take it off for someone else, I might hit someone on our team, respect,” Nacua laughs.
