Rams’ Puka Nacua calls out NFL referees on Adin Ross stream

Puka Nacua took aim at NFL officials on Tuesday called them the “worst” during a livestream with popular internet streamers Adin Ross and N3on.

“Referees are the worst, [because] There just aren’t some rules… These guys are lawyers; they want to be on TV too, bro” Los Angeles Rams star wide got said. “You don’t think he’s texting his friends in the group chat like, ‘Hey! You guys just saw my Sunday Night Football. Like, “That didn’t happen.” [pass interference] but I called. These guys are normal people too, bro.”

Ross has more than seven million followers on Twitch and nearly two million on Kick, the more recent streaming service on which Nacua aired.

The NFL has a history of fining players for criticizing officials. In 2023 the league fined Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid ($100,000) and defenseman Patrick Mahomes $50,000 for criticism after losing to Buffalo Bills. More recently, the N.F.L. fined Will Anderson Jr.. And Joe Mixon $25,000 for criticizing refereeing Houston Texans a playoff loss to the Chiefs last year. Both players, however, successfully appealed fines.
