A 44-year-old Quebec man died after being pulled from the water on a Florida beach northeast of Orlando.
Volusia County Beach Services, a local beach lifeguard and lifeguard service, said in an email that the man was found floating face down in a rip current shortly after noon Friday, approximately 130 to 180 meters from shore.

Rescuers returned him to shore, where he had no pulse.
The rescue service said rescue efforts were immediately undertaken by rescuers.
The man was taken to the Ormond Beach Fire Department, then to Volusia County Emergency Medical Services and then taken to the hospital.
He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
