At CES 2026, Lenovo unveiled unified, cross-device embedded AI that interacts with the company's devices, apps, and digital services. This Personal Ambient Intelligence runs as Lenovo and Motorola Qira on their respective devices.
Lenovo Qira demonstrates the shift from application-based AI to system-level intelligence that is context-aware and available across all devices without the need to switch or invoke a separate application. The company says Qira is always there, understands what you do and can support you with your permission. In addition, Qira will learn over time, anticipate your needs and, according to Lenovo and Motorola, act naturally and individually.
Qira will work on smartphones, tablets, wearables, PCs and other devices.
You'll be able to call it by saying, “Hey Kira,” pressing a special key, or even pressing the persistent tablet that will appear when you're using the handset. Qira acts on behalf of your device and will run locally, meaning it can work offline.
Other features include Pay Attention, which will allow Qira to support meetings and conversations with real-time transcription. Qira also enables real-time multimodal interaction when you share your screen or camera, it keeps you focused on what you say and show, and the AI is fluid and conversational.
There's also a Next Move feature that can guess what you want to do next on your device based on what you're doing at the moment, with ongoing support across devices that can evolve over time. “Catch Me” will be used by Qira to summarize what happened while you were away.
Qira will be available on Lenovo devices in the first quarter of 2026. It will then be available on Motorola smartphones, showcasing over-the-air updates for existing Lenovo AI Now users, with broader expansion over time.
