Winter comes early in PUBG Mobile, and it brings with it horsepower and penguins. The version 4.1 update arrives today with a shiny new Cooperation with Porsche are already alive, setting the tone for a season of speed, snow and a little chaos on the battlefield.
The main event is the Frost Festival, a full-scale winter event that runs until January 5th. It introduces Frosty Funland, a new themed mode that turns Erangel, Livik and Vikendi into snowy playgrounds created by the unlikeliest of engineers: penguins.
These tuxedo-clad builders have left their melting homeland to build Penguinville, with icy trails, party challenges and the debut of PauNin, a ninja penguin companion who can heal, fight and, yes, snack on sardines mid-battle. You can control PowNin with your voice or quick text, which is either impressive AI or just peak holiday magic.
The Frosty Funland challenge also adds holiday tension by tasking squads with collecting and delivering invitations across the map before the party ends. Completing it will reward you with exclusive achievements and a festive sequence. In general, we show off the bow on top.
Then, in mid-December, the Frosty Festival kicks off with themed decorations, musical vehicles and a stop at Wintercrest Hall where you can earn supplies and light fireworks for a global penguin charity event. Once this milestone is reached, PUBG Mobile will donate $100,000 to penguin conservation, a nice seasonal touch amid the explosions.
Meanwhile, the classic mode undergoes a mechanical adjustment. Firearms now have more realistic sound and fall settings, and the new Erangel shipyard and loot truck system will shake up mid-match combat. PMGC-themed areas also return, offering photo spots and supply drops to make the atmosphere both festive and competitive.
The version 4.1 update for PUBG Mobile is a massive one and it will surely help you stay updated during the upcoming festive season.
