Pritzker Shows Us Who He Really Is in Response to Important Question on ICE Actions in Chicago – RedState

Things have been tense in Chicago in recent weeks as federal immigration agents… increased efforts to track down and apprehend criminal illegal immigrants in the Windy City amid doxxing and violence by far-left activists.

At the same time, the war was escalating wordswhich included lawsuits between Democratic city and state “leaders” in Illinois and the Trump administration.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) has, of course, led the strategy of spreading anti-ICE messages among his fellow Democrats, going so far as to say he is exploring legal options to try to hold ICE agents accountable for allegedly breaking the law like we reported previously.

“So we are looking at all options at the local level with the county attorneys and the attorneys general who will be prosecuting people. [ICE agents] when they violate Illinois law, when they violate local law,” Pritzker told MSNBC host and former Biden-Harris administration spokeswoman Jen Psaki in an interview Thursday.

But while Pritzker's interview with Psaki threw a lot of curveballs, the interview he did with Fox News' Bret Baier was a different story: Baier pressed him on several fronts, including on the issue of violent crime, particularly murder. The governor was unhappy when the Fox News host brought the receipts:

In another segment, Pritzker talked briefly to himself, pretending not to fan the flames of the incendiary rhetoric that has led to attempts on ICE agents' lives and declaring that he knows exactly what offenses they are allegedly committing.

And yet, when Baier asked him if he would be willing to spend a day with ICE agents to see what they actually do and what they would have to go through, the potential 2028 presidential candidate declined.

“I see what they do on the streets of Chicago,” Pritzker said, shaking his head: “No.”

Look:

In other words, he would rather sit comfortably in his safe place and wallow in ignorance and distorted social media clips posted by left-wing agitators rather than see for himself that what is being claimed about ICE is actually true. There's a word for it, and it rhymes with the name “Howard.”

But then again, what else can we expect from a guy who has 24/7 paid security and literally boasted about how safe Chicago was the day after a particularly violent Labor Day weekend that saw 37 shootings over a three-day period, resulting in 58 people being shot, eight of them fatal?

Surprisingly, Pritzker also gave up entirely on Jekyll and Hyde, praising the man he compared to Hitler for closing the border, which he said helped reduce some of the problems Illinois faced with an influx of illegal immigrants under the Biden-Harris administration.

“…since President Trump took office, we don't have the same problem that we had before.”

Thanking him on the one hand for his help, and slapping him on the other. Come on Illinois, you have to do better in future election cycles. You simply must.

Editor's note: The Schumer shutdown is here. Instead of putting the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the Radical Democrats forced the government to shut down health care to illegal immigrants. They own it.
