Prisco’s Week 8 NFL picks, predictions, bets: Cowboys beat Broncos in shootout

How do you view a week where straight picks were good and picks against the spread were bad?

WITH?

D?

For some reason I'm not feeling very good about week 7. I scored 10-5 points and 6-9 ATS. The straight record for the year now stands at 76-31-1, and the ATS record has dropped to 55-53-0, close to the abysmal .500 mark.

Six teams have byes this week, so there are fewer games to miss. This could be good.

Let's move on to week 8.

It will happen again Carson Wentz Vikings defensive end JJ McCarthy still not healed from a high ankle sprain. Wentz has ups and downs in his game that usually even out in the end. Justin Herbert He showed good passing last week but will be tested against Brian Flores' defense. Regardless, I think he'll make enough plays to win and the Chargers will outplay Wentz a few times.

The Bills are coming off a much-needed comeback after two straight losses. The Panthers have won two games in a row thanks to a physical offense and physical defense. The Bills have had issues on defense, but I think they do a better job of it here. Josh Allen returns to service. Bills take it.

Choose: Bills 28, Paters 20 | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbookwhere are the new users get $300 in bonus bets on a winning $5 bet:

The Ravens are parting ways and may be bringing back Lamar Jackson. They need him. But how healthy will he be? The Bears have won four straight to move to 4-2, and they're doing it with the running game. But the Ravens are a desperate team, and with Jackson back, I think they will find a way to win. If not, then they are ready.

Choose: Ravens 27, Bears 21 | Odds via Bookmaker DraftKings

The Patriots have won three straight and are in first place in the AFC East. Now they have a Cleveland team that doesn't play much offensively. Cleveland's defense is a challenge, but Drake Maye will do enough to win this tournament for the Patriots.

Choose: Patriots 24, Browns 14 | Odds via Bookmaker's office Caesar

Sunday, 1:00 pm on CBS (broadcast on Paramount+)

The Dolphins are a complete mess and are now on the road for the second week in a row. It's tough, and they'll be facing a Falcons team that lost on the road. The Dolphins don't run enough offense, and the Falcons will play well. Sesame Robinson all day. Falcons are big.

Choose: Falcons 31, Dolphins 13 | Odds via BetMGM

The Giants beat the Eagles two weeks ago, but this will be a much tougher task. They play back-to-back away games and it's tough. And after failing, they caught the attention of the Eagles. Expect Philadelphia to continue to play well on offense, as they did in beating the Vikings on Sunday, as they take revenge from their last meeting. Eagles take this.

Choose: Eagles 30, Giants 17 | Odds via Bookmaker's office Caesarwhere new users get 20 100% profit increases with code CBS20X:

The winless Jets head to play a Bengals team that appears to have been revived by Joe Flacco. The Jets are making a change at quarterback, benching him. Justin Fields For Tyrod Taylor. It doesn't really matter because the attack isn't good for either of them. The Bengals offense is good. Look for Flacco to stay hot and win it.

Choose: Bengals 29, Jets 14 | Odds via BetMGM

The 49ers will have Mac Jones back in the middle as they face the Texans in a short week after losing to Seahawks on Monday evening. Houston has offensive line issues that are showing up on a weekly basis. However, the Texans defense is really good and will make life difficult for Jones. Texans are taking it on board.

Choose: Texans 23, 49ers 17 | Odds via Bookmaker DraftKings

The Bucs are playing back-to-back road games in a short week, which could be a challenge. They didn't play very well offensively against Lions on Monday evening and now without Mike Evans. The Saints have been competitive in many of their games and this looks like a Bucs win, but it's close.

Choose: Pirates 23, Saints 21 | Odds via Bookmaker's office Caesar

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. on CBS (broadcast on Paramount+)

The Cowboys hit the road with their top-ranked offense to take on a good Denver defense that didn't play very well last week. The Cowboys have problems on defense, but the Broncos have struggled early in games on offense. I think this is one of those places for Dak Prescott win a shootout against the Broncos. The Cowboys are upset.

Choose: Cowboys 34, Broncos 31 | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. on CBS (broadcast on Paramount+)

The Colts are in good shape right now, scoring a league-best 33.1 points per game. Daniel Jones And Jonathan Taylor both show big numbers. Tennessee will have a hard time slowing down this group. I don't think they will do it and Cam Ward I can't keep up. Blow out.

Choose: Colts 33, Titans 13 | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook

The Packers play back-to-back road games while the Steelers remain at home on 10 days rest. This usually makes a difference. But the Steelers' defense was abysmal in their loss to the Bengals. Although the Packers have been underwhelming on offense this year, this will be an opportunity for Jordan Love for it to start. I think yes. The Packers will beat their former quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Choose: Packers 31, Steelers 24 | Odds via Bookmaker DraftKings

The commanders are defeated and may be left without Jayden Daniels (hamstring) in this. They are also on the road for the second week in a row against a team that is getting better every week. Search Patrick Mahomes and his receivers to illuminate a Washington defense that has serious issues. The bosses are great.

Choose: Chiefs 37, Commanders 21 | Odds via Bookmaker DraftKings
