As you know, today's hub practice was highly anticipated. Why? 'Cause the weekend changed a lot and therefore, of necessity, there were many matters to attend to. this morning. First of all, it's worth noting that Joe Veleno and Owen Beck were in attendance. Beck's case is significant given the circumstances as he could easily move to Laval if the club doesn't need his services.Otherwise, five were absent: Patrik Laine, Kirby Dach, Zachary Bolduc, Brendan Gallagher and Josh Anderson. We'll worry about Bolduc, Anderson and Gulley if we have more details… but it's not ideal. Especially for young Quebecers. #AineKayden Goulet… five strikers… the season is just starting, and the infirmary is full.#

Lane and Dak are not. So are Anderson, Gallagher and Bolduc. Details coming soon. – Anthony Martineau (@Antho_Martineau) October 20, 2025
In Dak's case, it's becoming increasingly clear that this is more than just a matter of getting his knee back into shape: he looks downright injured. And it doesn't look very good. After all, Laine and Dach have been busy every day since Saturday – and perhaps even Friday, the Canadiens' off day. It's been a few days now, and not being able to see them skate is, of necessity, unsettling. Is there a bigger situation with the two players at the end of their contracts than we thought? We'll see over time when the Hubs provide details after practice. spacer title=”prolongation”]- Jakub Dobes is lining up to play tonight.
It looks like Jakub Dobes will take the field in goal #Habs tonight against the Sabers
