Powerplay: Ivan Demidov practiced on the 2nd wave

The Canadiens are in big trouble right now. And we all know it.

This does not work in Powerplay mode. In fact, it doesn't work anymore. The Habs have been really good in a few games with the man advantage… but they haven't gotten there for five games now. in the power play.

And so Martin Saint-Louis decided to make some adjustments to his two waves.

It is difficult to understand why… but in a sense, it was Ivan Demidov who was “scooped up”. The Russian practiced in the second wave of the power play this morning, while Zachary Bolduc returned to the first wave.

Will this help the Canadiens regain the success they had before they ran out of gas?

It's interesting to see Martin St. Louis making a difference.

But to see how Martin Saint-Louis takes Demidov out of the first wave – when it seemed that he was the one caught fire the first block seems special in some sense. Demidov is damn creative with the puck, and getting him to play with talented guys like Suzuki, Caufield, Slough and Hutson… we agree it could make sense.

However, colleague Maxim Truman wrote to me that Demidov dominated the second wave in training today and that he had some good games with Oliver Kapanen…

Anyway. The club would have to change the game to 5 v 3 because it has been quite painful since the start of the campaign…

One thing that particularly interests me in all of this is why Brendan Gallagher, who has no goals in 18 games this season… is there still room in the second wave of the majority?

I think we could give another guy a chance to prove himself…

In conclusion, I would like to note that Jakub Dobes will be in goal tomorrow against the Blue Jackets. Can he bounce back after a (really) tough last match?

After a while

– Really(I can’t laugh).

lice !

– Damn, he's good.

– Solid.
