In my decade-long career as a beauty editor, I've sacrificed many a limb (and eyelashes and nails and bathroom outlets) in the name of product testing. This year alone, we estimate that my team has tried approximately 708 attempts. During all this time, I have learned one thing: the power of beauty is profound. One swipe of lipstick will not only make you look beautiful—it will also make you feel more confident, playful, and at ease. good.

That's the energy we're trying to capture with Popsugar's first-ever commercial. 2025 Wellness Awards. Our robust team of editors in five main categories: beauty, health, fitness, houseAnd sex — reviewed thousands of submissions to find the ones that fit the bill and represent the most joy-inducing products. We then went on a long journey of testing each of these elements to ensure we were delivering the best to our audience. (Did I mention that we tested a total of 2,138 new runs?)

When it comes to beauty, this meant slathering on every body cream, applying countless mascara, and applying multiple hair masks, pomades, and moisturizers (to name a few) through a lot of trial and error. We were looking for textures that would actually feel good to use, creams that would soothe more than just our skin, and scents that would make us celebrate ourselves.
