Google Play has announced its list of the best games of 2025: Pokémon TCG Pocket, Candy Crush Solitaire, Disco Elysium and Dredge received recognition in the “Best Games of 2025” category.
This year's awards were a little more streamlined, with Google dropping the “Best Multi-Device” and “Best for Families” categories.
“We felt Pokémon TCG Pocket pushed the envelope by delivering an authentic version of the physical card game while maintaining the joy of card collecting. From flipping coins to bursting booster packs, its well-designed effects add tangible weight and texture for a vibrant tactile experience that brings the whole experience to life,” said Google, ranking the game as a top game of 2025.
“Pokémon TCG Pocket takes full advantage of its digital format to deliver an accessible and enhanced experience that takes the card game into a new era in its own history—and for this mammoth undertaking, it earns the Best Game of 2025 award.”
