Pokémon Pocket TCG, Dredge, Cyberpunk 2077, Porta Nubi and What The Clash? all received recognition at Apple's 2025 App Store Awards.
The megacorporation said the games and apps were chosen “for their technical ingenuity and lasting cultural impact” and were “hand-selected” by App Store editors from a long list of 45 apps that “demonstrate exceptional innovation, user experience and design.”
“Every year we are inspired by how developers turn their best ideas into innovative experiences that enrich people's lives,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.
“This year’s winners embody the creativity and excellence that define the App Store and demonstrate the meaningful impact that world-class apps and games have on people around the world.”
Here is the list of winning games from the 2025 Apple Store Awards:
- iPhone Game of the Year: Pocket TCG Pokemon
- iPad Game of the Year: Dredge
- Mac Game of the Year: Cyberpunk 2077: Complete Edition
- Game of the Year for Apple Vision Pro: Bring the clouds
- Apple Arcade Game of the Year: What is Collision?
Art of Fauna, Despelote and Chants of Sennaar were also named Apple Cultural Impact Award winners.
Google Play also recently unveiled its lists of the best games of 2025.as well as Pokémon TCG Pocket, Candy Crush Solitaire, Disco Elysium and Dredge received recognition.
