Pokémon Legends: Z-A Ranked Battle Season 5 Is Bringing Another Mega Stone Reward

Get ready for battle in Pokémon Legends: ZA

Pokemon Legends: ZA announced that Season 5 of Ranked Battles is “coming soon,” offering a new competitive window and another Mega Stone reward. The season will run from January 8 to January 29, 2026, giving players several weeks to rank up and earn exclusive items.

Players who reach S rank will receive Sceptilite, which will allow Sceptile to Mega Evolve. This season also rewards progress on multiple levels. Rank V gives baccalibrite, rank W gives chesnotite, rank X gives delphoxite, and rank Y unlocks greninjite. These rewards promote stable progression and increase access to Mega Evolutions for competitive teams.

Season 5 uses a fixed set of rules to keep battles balanced and efficient. Players can enter Pokémon level 1 to 100, but the game automatically sets all Pokémon to level 50 during battles. With this approach, the focus is on strategy, team composition, and move selection rather than simply leveling up.

The eligible list includes Lumiose Pokédex entries numbered 001 through 227, as well as Hyperspace Pokédex entries numbered 00 through 127 and 132. Players can only use one Pokémon per Pokédex number on their team. Pokémon can hold items, but the rules prohibit duplicate held items within a team.

Each ranked match is played under a strict overall time limit of three minutes, forcing players to make quick and smart decisions. With clear restrictions, valuable Mega Stone rewards, and a limited schedule, Season 5 of Ranked Battles is poised to position itself as a focused and competitive stage in Pokémon Legends: ZA.
