For many Episode 7 released on Apple TV – and while it doesn't reveal anything new about “Others” and/or “Joining”, it's still a very important chapter.
Called “Break” For manyThe final entry splits time between protagonist Carol and Manousos. I assumed that unification was on the cards after For many episode 6 and despite what happens to them – and Manousos in particular – in The Rupture, I'm even more confident that their paths will cross soon.
Is there a day of Manousos in episode 7 of “More”?
No. Well, we don't know if he'll survive the life-threatening injuries he suffered in “The Break.” However, given that he's been positioned as an important character in the sci-fi detective drama so far, it would be a disappointing end to his time on the series if he were to be killed off.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. Apple TV The final episode of the series doesn't reunite us with Manousos trying to track down Carol until a third of its runtime is up. And for the next 10 minutes, we simply watch Manousos travel around the country as he learns English—via a language course on tape—so he can communicate with Carol when they finally meet.
Eventually, he reaches a point that his trusty top-top convertible can't cross: the Darien Gap, a dense and dangerous 100km-wide rainforest that spans, well, the gap between Colombia and Panama. There he is met by a small group of Others who plead with Manousos not to attempt the trek through the remote and treacherous jungle.
If we find out anything about one of the best Apple TV showsHowever, the main side characters are that he is just stubborn. So, Manousos ignores the Others' request and continues his quest to eventually meet Carol.
As expected, things soon went south. Slipping on a rock, Manousos falls backward and impales himself on a Chunga palm tree, the bark of which is covered with 20-centimeter spikes infested with bacteria. As the Others have previously warned, even the slightest cut can lead to a fatal infection. So getting hit by multiple spikes is a recipe for disaster.
Manousos attempts to burn out the infection from the wounds on his back with an ax, which he heats over a fire later that night. Unfortunately, this does not prevent his condition from worsening. The next day, delirious from infection and physically exhausted from suffering, the weakened Manousos collapses.
However, when all hope seems lost, the Others that Manousos has refused to accept since we met him come to his aid. Rescuers arrive on the scene by helicopter, and while we don't see them get him to safety, it's safe to assume they were successful.
The main question now is: where is Manousos? Considering that one of the Others told him that they would be happy to send him to New Mexico so he could meet Carol in person, I think he was taken to the hospital in Albuquerque. If I'm right, perhaps we'll find out that this duo will finally connect in Episode 8 or this season's finale.
Carol tries to commit suicide in episode seven of Pluribus?
In truth, things aren't looking so good for Carol either.
Encouraged that the Others cannot turn her into one of them without a) getting stem cells from her and b) doing so with her consent, Carol begins to live life to the fullest again. Indeed, now that she knows she's not living on borrowed time, being one of the 13 immune people left alive before the Joiners found a way to force her to, well, join them, Carol begins to indulge in all of life's frivolities.
At least for a while. After the “Manosos” section of “The Break” ends, the story jumps ahead 34 days before we are reunited with a depressed Carol. Sitting in front of her house with a beer in her hand and surrounded by the fireworks that Carol occasionally sets off, she is clearly struggling. Heck, Carol even looks like she's getting ready to push away as one of said fireworks is about to shoot right at her. Watch out for the extremely dangerous encounter as it zips past her face before exploding and setting the roof of a nearby house on fire.
The next day, we see Carol heading to the local hardware store to grab a paint roller and a large tub of white paint, then use them to write something on the asphalt of her cul-de-sac.
As you can see in the image above, Carol is drawing the words “come back.” Cause? Even the most misanthropic person in the world misses real human interaction. A now recovered Zosia appears in Carol's driveway, and after a somewhat awkward confrontation, an emotionally vulnerable Carol collapses into Zosia's arms, holding back tears.
The final scene of episode seven raises many questions. Is this the end of the Others' voluntary breakup with Carol? Is Carol finally ready to work and live with them? Did Zosia really forgive Carol for almost killing her in For many episode 4? And will the status quo change again if (or rather, when) Carol and Manousos eventually meet? Let's hope all these questions will be answered when episodes 8 and 9 air on one of the world's best streaming services.
