PlayStation cover art leak confirms Leon will be in Resident Evil Requiem after all

The leaked Resident Evil Requiem cover confirms what we've suspected all along – Leon Kennedy will indeed be part of the game.

As confirmed by Eurogamer, the design has appeared on the PlayStation Store. It featured the previously announced lead role of Grace Ashcroft (daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, who is in the spin-off series). Resident Evil: Flash) with a large picture of Leon behind her.

Resident Evil Requiem was confirmed to be shown at The Game Awards later this week, which is presumably when Capcom intended to announce Leon's inclusion in the game. However, PlayStation unintentionally jumped the gun.

Back in June of this year, game director Koshi Nakanishi stated that Leon simply isn't the kind of person who would “jump from something like a falling bucket” and therefore making a “horror game based on him” would be difficult.

“No one wants to see Leon getting scared by every little thing” Nakanishi said. “It doesn’t really lend itself well to horror.”

It is clear that the director was simply trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
