The Gibbs Hour was a labor of love that took three years to create. He first performed a show for friends and family in his living room and then took the piano on a tour across the United States, including a stop at the 2024 New York Comedy Festival and a sold-out night at the 2024 Netflix Is a Joke festival at Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles.

“I'm a musical theater kid who turned to comedy again, so this special was only possible because of the community of people I have the pleasure of creating things with,” the comedian said. “I'm so proud of how Select a band It worked out, and it was largely due to their collaboration, as well as my incredible singing voice and unmatched sense of humor.”

The special, directed by Patrick Muehlberger, was financed by Gibbs and is a co-production with his production company Geniust, Inc. and Dynasty Typewriter Productions. The Gibbs executive produced the film along with Muehlberger, Steven Gordon Walker and Lauren Cortizo.

Gibbs is a creative artist at the intersection of music and comedy who, before coming to Los Angeles, starred as Elder Price in a national tour Book of Mormon after working in a Broadway troupe. He has been seen on ABC several times. Trained and also starred as a guest star Gray's Anatomy and other series.
