“One way to measure progress is through engagement, and the momentum is encouraging: Game Pass cloud hours are up 45% year-over-year, and console players are streaming 45% more on console and 24% more on other devices,” Spencer wrote.

“Progress is also about increasing choice for players – play what you want, where you want – and that's what drives us forward. Thank you to the Xbox team, our partners and our players for helping make this vision a reality.”

Spencer added a separate post on LinkedIn from Xboxwhich claimed that “big things are happening with Xbox Cloud Gaming,” which is now available in India, expanded to Argentina and Brazil, and offers “more ways to play on more devices than ever.”

Microsoft raised the price of its Xbox Game Pass subscription service back in Octoberand the most expensive tier, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, will increase from $19.99/£14.99 per month to $29.99/£22.99 per month.

Microsoft said the increase comes as a result of expanding its offering with the addition of Fortnite Crew (costing $11.99 per month) and Ubisoft + Classics (costing $7.99 per month) to its Ultimate library, as well as improved Xbox Cloud Gaming streaming quality and access to more than 75 day one releases of the year, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
