Phasmophiobia’s New Haunted Diner Map Arrives In November

Phasmophobia Developer Kinetic Games has unveiled a new map for the game, which takes place inside an abandoned restaurant. The location, Neil's Diner, was revealed during the TwitchCon panel celebrating the co-op horror game's recent fifth anniversary, and players will be able to explore it starting November 11th.

Kinetic Games described Neil's Diner as a “seedy retro restaurant”, long abandoned by both staff and patrons. Although it's one of the smaller maps in Phasmophobia, it's still full of authentic detail and ghosts looking for a thrill.

“We always thought a diner would be perfect, so Nell's was born and it's been a lot of fun bringing it to life,” lead developer Daniel Knight said in a press release. “Along with this year's farmhouse rework, Nell's is an example of how we want all maps in Phasmophobia to look in the future. It's unique and has been carefully designed to tell our players more of a story – beyond the actual ghost they're hunting.”

Phasmophobia will be released in version 1.0 next year. but this is just the beginning of Kinetic's big plans for their popular game. Upcoming major renovation…dubbed Horror 2.0— will be released alongside the launch of version 1.0, and the studio says the update will make Phasmaphobia feel like a new game. Hollywood is also calling, as is production company Blumhouse – Five Nights at Freddy's, Paranormal Activity, The Purge and Insidious –adapts the game for the big screen.
