Petkit’s Automatic Wet Pet Food Dispenser Is Unlike Anything Else I’ve Seen at CES

Like many pet owners, I always want the best for my dog. Sometimes that means I cook up sweet potatoes, eggs, and chicken to add to the food (I know, I know). But sometimes that just means I want him to have the latest gadgets to hit the market.

And believe me CES 2026 this is the right place for it.

At the Petkit booth at CES, I lingered among devices that at first glance looked like very fancy feeders or water fountains. Then I noticed which cars do with the data they collect, and I began to understand how a bowl of water can show you things you never knew about your beloved dog or cat.

Petkit, a company known for innovative pet care products, allowed me to preview three new additions to its portfolio ahead of CES 2026, which aim to take connected devices beyond mere automation and drive continued growth in pet health awareness.

Reimagining pet care with an integrated AI ecosystem

Instead of focusing on a single automated feature, this year's lineup is designed to form an integrated ecosystem where pets' daily routines help build a complete picture of each animal's health over time, Petkit says. All of these new devices are linked to the Petkit app, where food, hydration and litter box activity information is collected and displayed for each pet.

The idea is to make routine behavior visible and potentially more meaningful, rather than leaving owners guessing what “normal” behavior looks like for their pets.

One of the devices debuting is the Yumshare Daily Feast, an automatic wet cat feeder that Petkit describes as its first foray into robotic wet feeding. The device can dispense food on a schedule over several days, tracking consumption using a built-in camera. NFC tracking and UVC sanitization are designed to help keep portions fresh. An AI-powered detection system built into the camera is used to record how much food is eaten and by which animal. This changes the feeder's role from a dispenser with a timer to one that observes and records feeding behavior. Yumshare will be available in spring 2026.

Another product is the Eversweet Ultra water fountain. It uses a pet-recognition camera to observe the drinking habits of one pet to another and records this information through an app. The larger reservoir and design to separate fresh water from waste reduces the need for daily refilling and cleaning. For owners who want to travel or juggle multiple pets, data about who drank what and when can provide useful context if their drinking habits change. Petkit says it plans to release Eversweet in April.

Rounding out the trio is the Purobot Crystal Duo, an open-top automatic cat litter box. Like other devices in the line, it features an artificial intelligence camera that tracks activity and sends alerts for events that could signal a change in health, such as unusual stool consistency or unusual vocalizations. The system is designed to reduce manual litter maintenance by several weeks, while still providing information about how often and in what manner the pet uses the box. Petkit plans to launch Purobot in July.

Looking to the future

Petkit is expected to launch these products in spring 2026, with pricing and availability varying by device and region. At CES, the company is highlighting how these connected tools can help pets and owners by turning everyday life into an ongoing health story.

Whether this represents a meaningful shift in the way we care for pets will likely depend on how the devices perform in the long term and whether owners find the features associated with health trends truly useful.
