Perry Farrell Apologizes for Jane’s Addiction’s Onstage Fight │ Exclaim!

More than a year after the onstage brawl that ended last year's Jane's Addiction reunion toursinger Perry Farrell shared a statement apologizing for his actions.

Addressing fans who attended the Boston show last September, as well as Jane's Addiction fans around the world, Pharrell wrote on social media: “I've been reflecting on this and know I didn't behave the way I should have. I apologize to our patrons and bandmates for losing my temper and crashing the show.”

He continued: “My goal has always been to give our audience the best show possible, something real, honest and positive. We didn't get that in Boston, and I'm truly sorry to everyone who was impacted by it.”

He wouldn't talk about the band's future, but wrote: “Jane's Addiction has been at the center of my life for decades. The band, the songs, the patrons and the impact we've had on music and culture mean more to me than any words I could ever write down.”

He did not specifically address (6-7 pioneers) guitarist Dave Navarro, whom Pharrell swung at on stage. Fans in the comments section called for Pharrell to apologize to Navarro, and the singer's wife Ettie Lau Pharrell wrote in more than one comment: “PERRY REALLY TRIED. In person, by phone, via SMS, through a manager, agent and tour manager. We stayed in New York and found out the tour was canceled on social media. BLOCKED. The next time we heard from Dave and the band was their lawsuit against Perry and me a few weeks later.”

This is not the first time Farrell has apologized for the incident, as he spoke out soon after, he had to take responsibility for his “unforgivable behavior.” A year later, in September 2025, he fight back your group's lawsuitdenying “all allegations in the complaint” and claiming that Navarro has “dirty hands.”
