Vision fans ask, “What is heartbreak if not stubborn love?” since then Paul BettanyThe android character died but was then revived in the 2021 Disney+ series.”WandaVision“
Marvel released the first trailer for Vision Quest, the upcoming series starring Bettany's Vision and his first appearance in the MCU since WandaVision, exclusively for fans at New York Comic Con. The trailer once again showed Bettany as White Vision from the WandaVision finale, as well as a more human version. There were also human versions of James Spader, who voiced Ultron in the second Avengers film, and artificial intelligence programs Jarvis, Friday and Edith. At the end of the trailer there was a short shot of Tommy, Vision and Wanda's son, who appeared as a child in WandaVision.
ASPader reprises his role from Avengers: Age of Ultron as the main genocidal AI that Vision appears to destroy at the end of the film (though it happened off-screen). The series stars Todd Stashwick, T'Nia Miller, Ruaridh Mollica and Emily Hampshire. Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard) created the series, serves as showrunner and executive producer.
One of the last times Marvel fans saw Vision was when he was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. The purple supervillain tore the Mind Stone from Vision's forehead, killing him instantly before it broke and turned half the universe to dust. Vision was then mysteriously reanimated and lived a peaceful family life in WandaVision with Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), aka Scarlet Witch. However, the miniseries gradually revealed that Wanda was mentally unstable, and the quiet, TV sitcom-inspired life she lived with Vision was a magical witchcraft she created out of her grief. It was revealed that Wanda stole Vision's lifeless body from the government organization SWORD and reanimated him with her dark and powerful magic. Wanda's recreation of Vision had no memories of his former life and death, and he soon battles a government-controlled, all-white Vision sent to destroy him. The Evil White Vision regains all of its previous memories and flies off on its own.
Wanda then reappeared in the 2022 film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where she undergoes a heel turn and becomes the film's main villain. In 2024, Joe Locke (Cardiac Stopper) played Wanda and Vision's son Billy in the WandaVision spin-off Agatha All Along, starring Kathryn Hahn as the witch Agatha Harkness. This series ended with Agatha and Billy going in search of Billy's brother Tommy.
